A collaborative network of child-protection focused organisations
The SaferAI for Children Coalition, established in 2024 and convened by ICMEC Australia, is a collaborative network of child-protection focused organisations, researchers, public sector leaders, and law enforcement partners.
Our shared goal? Ensuring AI is used to protect children, not to exploit them.
Our vision
A future where AI is ethically and effectively harnessed to keep children safe – online and offline.
AI is being misused to generate child sexual abuse material, facilitate grooming, and evade detection. Our Coalition exists to raise awareness of these threats, promote urgent action, and develop solutions that use AI for good.
Our purpose
Our mission
To drive coordinated, expert-led action on AI and child protection through research, advocacy, and cross-sector collaboration.
SaferAI for Children Coalition members
The SaferAI for Children Coalition brings together members from law enforcement, government, academia, and the not-for-profit sector. Not all members are listed here, so if you’d like to know more about our membership, please feel free to get in touch with ICMEC Australia.
